ALDH1A3 inhibitor NR6 is a specific ALDH1A3 inhibitor with IC50 of 5.3 uM and Ki of 3.7 uM, high selective over ALDH1A1 and ALDH1A2.
ALDH1A3 inhibitor NR6 inhibits cell growth of ALDH1A3+ cell lines U87MG and HCT116 cells with EC50 of 0.378 and 0.648 nM, respectively, in MTT assays.
ALDH1A3 inhibitor NR6 is strictly selective against the ALDH1A3 isoform in both U87MG and HCT116 cell lines, inducing apoptotic death.
ALDH1A3 inhibitor NR6 reduces significantly the expression of ALDH1A3 in HCT116 and for U87MG cells, reduces migration and invasiveness in vitro.
