AR03 (BMH-23, AR03, Ape1 repair inhibitor 03) is a novel small molecule inhibitor of DNA repair protein apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease 1 (APE1) endonuclease activity with IC50 of 5 uM.
AR03 (BMH-23, AR03, Ape1 repair inhibitor 03) is a novel small molecule inhibitor of DNA repair protein apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease 1 (APE1) endonuclease activity with IC50 of 5 uM.
AR03 shows 8-fold less effectivity in inhibiting endonuclease IV, and no effect on the redox activity of Ape1 or the ability of c-Jun/c-Fos to bind DNA.
AR03 has low affinity for double-stranded DNA and weakly inhibits the Escherichia coli endonuclease IV, requiring a 20-fold higher concentration than for inhibition of Ape1.
AR03 potentiates the cytotoxicity of methyl methanesulfonate and temozolomide in SF767 cells.
