AZD3988 (AZD-3988) is a potent, selective DGAT-1 inhibitor with IC50 of 0.6/0.5/1.1 nM for human/mouse/rat DGAT-1, does not inhibit DGAT-2 at 10 uM.
AZD3988 potently inhibits triacylglycerol synthesis in HuTu 80 cells with IC50 of 0.5 nM, has IC50 of 0.3 nM in the rat adipose TAG synthesis assay.
AZD3988 (20 mg/kg, p.o. bid) reduced in diet-induced obesity (DIO) model.
