Biological Activity

Acmiribine (8-Hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine, 8-OHdG) is a small molecule Rac1 inhibitor, suppresses NO production and COX-2 activity via Rac1/STATs signaling in LPS-induced brain microglia.
Acmiribine (8-Hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine, 8-OHdG) significantly reduces plaque formation along with reduced superoxide formation, monocyte/macrophage infiltration, and extracellular matrix (ECM) accumulation in mice.
Acmiribine (8-Hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine, 8-OHdG) significantly inhibits angiotensin II-induced Rac1 activity in VSMCs.
Acmiribine (8-Hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine, 8-OHdG) stabilizes Rac1-GEF complex, indicating the physical contact of 8-OHdG with Rac1.
Acmiribine (8-Hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine, 8-OHdG) suppresses allergy-induced lung tissue remodeling in mice, inhibits allergy-induced inflammation and remodeling in airway and lung tissues through Rac inactivation.
Acmiribine (8-Hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine, 8-OHdG) could prevent liver fibrosis by inhibiting Rac1-NADPH oxidase 2 (NOX2) signaling in this MASH model.
