Arimoclomol maleate (BRX-220) is a nontoxic, orally active heat shock protein (HSP) coinducer and potentiator of the heat shock response.
Arimoclomol maleate (BRX-220) significantly increases pancreatic levels of HSP60 and HSP72 in vivo, significantly delays disease progression and prevents protein aggregation in the SOD1 mouse model of ALS.
