BDP5290 (BDP00005290) is a potent myotonic dystrophy kinase-related CDC42-binding kinase (MRCK) inhibitor with Ki of 10/4 nM for MRCKα/β, respectively.
BDP5290 exhibits 86 and 46-fold in vitro selectivity for MRCKβ over ROCK1 and ROCK2; demonstrates marked selectivity for MRCKβ over ROCK1 or ROCK2 for inhibition of myosin II light chain (MLC) phosphorylation in cells;.
BDP5290 blocks MLC phosphorylation at both cytoplasmic actin stress fibres and peripheral cortical actin bundles.
BDP5290 strongly inhibits the invasion of human SCC12 squamous cell carcinoma cells at 2 uM.
