BKIDC-1553 is a specific small molecule inhibitor with antiglycolytic activity in prostate cancer cell lines, inhibits hexokinase 2 (HK2).
BKIDC-1553 display selective growth inhibition across multiple prostate cancer models.
BKIDC-1553 is active in suppressing the growth of most AR positive and AR negative metastatic PCa cell lines but was not effective in suppressing the growth of normal fibroblast cells or bone, lymphocyte, or hepatocyte derived cancer cell lines.
BKIDC-1553 demonstrates promising activity in a preclinical xenograft model of advanced prostate cancer, equivalent to that of enzalutamide.
BKIDC-1553 demonstrates safety and pharmacologic properties consistent with a compound that can be taken into human studies.
