BNTX (7-benzylidenenaltrexone) maleate is a selective δ1-opioid receptor antagonist with the Ki of 0.1 nM, >100-fold selective over δ2-, μ-, and κ-opioid receptors.
BNTX maleate significantly reduced Helios expression in a dose-dependent manner, without altering CD8+ T cell survival in primary murine CD8+ T cells.
BNTX also sensitized pancreatic cancer cells to TRAIL-induced apoptosis by downregulating XIAP via inhibition of the PKCα/AKT signaling pathway.
