Biological Activity

CA224 is a non-planar analogue of fascaplysin that selectively inhibits CDK4/cyclin D1 with IC50 of 5.5 uM.
CA224 does not inhibits CDK2, blocks the growth of cancer cells at G0/G1 phase of the cell cycle, also blocks the cell cycle at G2/M phase.
CA224 also acts as an enhancer of depolymerization for taxol-stabilized tubulin.
