CASIN is a specific inhibitor of small RhoGTPase Cdc42, inhibits PIP2-stimulated actin polymerization in Xenopus egg extracts with IC50 of 2 uM.
CASIN functionally rejuvenates aged HSCs, increases the percentage of polarized cells in an aged HSC population, and restores the level and spatial distribution of histone H4 lysine 16 acetylation to a status similar to that seen in young HSCs.
CASIN affects midbody trafficking of Rab8a vesicle and cytokinesis in cells.
