Biological Activity
CHI3L1 inhibitor 8 is a potent, CNS permeable small molecule inhibitor of chitinase-3-like protein 1 (CHI3L1) with dissociation constants (Kd) of 6.8 uM and SPR Kd of 5.69 uM.
CHI3L1 inhibitor 8 (10-50 uM) induces dose-dependent and significant reduction in spheroid viability in multicellular 3D GBM spheroid model.
CHI3L1 inhibitor 8 shows dose-dependent inhibition of pSTAT3, mirroring the effects of Hygromycin B (HB), a known CHI3L1-STAT3 disruptor.
CHI3L1 inhibitor 8 (10 uM) produces a robust antiangiogenic effect in CHI3L1-stimulated HMEC-1 tube-formation assay.
