CWHM-1008 is a potent, orally efficacious antimalarial agent with EC50 values of 46 nM and 21 nM against drug sensitive Plasmodium falciparum 3D7 and drug resistant Dd2 strains, respectively.
CWHM-1008 is a potent, orally efficacious antimalarial agent with EC50 values of 46 nM and 21 nM against drug sensitive Plasmodium falciparum 3D7 and drug resistant Dd2 strains, respectively.
CWHM-1008 has equivalent potency to chloroquine (CQ) in the Pf 3D7 strain and 10-fold greater potency than CQ against the multi-drug resistant Dd2 (IC50 = 21 ± 1 nM vs. CQ IC50 = 196 ± 14 nM).
CWHM-1008 does not inhibit plasmepsins II, IV, V, IX or X.
CWHM-1008 is orally efficacious in a mouse model of malaria (q.d.; ED99 ~ 30 mg/kg/day).
CWHM-1008 also induces apoptosis and protective autophagy through the Akt/mTOR axis on lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) cells, inhibits the growth and induces apoptosis of A549 cell in nude mice in vivo.
