Chloroquine is an antimalarial drug and autophagy/lysosome inhibitor, inhibiting Toll-like receptor (TLR) signalling. Chloroquine inhibits IL-12p70 release and reduces Th1-priming capacity of activated human monocyte-derived Langerhans-like cells (MoLC) at 20 uM. Chloroquine significantly reduces HuH7 cell proliferation in vitro and inhibited tumour growth in the mouse xenograft model.
