Cyanorona-20 is a potent and specific SARS-CoV-2 inhibitor with very high selectivity (209- and 45-fold more potent than favipiravir and remdesivir, respectively), effectively binds to and inhibits the SARS-CoV-2 RdRp.
Cyanorona-20 exhibited very significant anti-COVID-19 activity (anti-SARS-CoV-2 viral redcution EC50=0.45 uM, CPE IC100=1.4 uM, 50% reduction in viral RNA EC50=0.48 uM), SARS-CoV-2 in vitro.
Cyanorona-20 strongly binds with the pivotal amino acid residue of the SARS-CoV-2 RdRp active site, Asp760.
