Biological Activity

DRAK2 inhibitor Y17 is a potent, small molecule inhibitor of serine/threonine kinase DRAK2 (STK17B).
Y17 enhances mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) in INS-1E cells and glucose-stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS) in primary mouse islets, as well as protecting against palmitic acid (PA)-induced apoptosis.
Y17 improves glucose tolerance in mice.
