    Biological Activity

    GW 275175X is a derivative of BDCRB that displays anti-HCMV activity by inhibition of viral DNA maturation.
    GW 275175X shows antiviral efficacy against AD169 laboratory strain in DNA hybridization assays with IC50 of 0.7 uM, against 10 clinically relevant HCMV isolates with IC50 of 0.16-2.21 uM, and little or no activity against HSV-1, HSV-2 and varicella zoster virus.
    GW 275175X inhibits viral DNA maturation in a dose-dependent fashion.
