Biological Activity

Ginsenoside Rk1 is a ginsenoside extracted from sun ginseng with anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor properties, inhibits telomerase activity in HepG2 cells.
Ginsenoside Rk1 decreases expression levels of telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) and c-Myc mRNA.
Ginsenoside Rk1 induces apoptosis through activation of caspases-8 and -3.
Ginsenoside Rk1 suppresses pro-inflammatory responses in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated RAW264.7 cells by inhibiting the Jak2/Stat3 pathway.
Ginsenoside Rk1 induces phosphorylation of myosin light chain and cortactin.
