HI-B1 is a small molecule inhibitor of β-catenin/TCF4 interaction, directly targets β-catenin and disrupts β-catenin/TCF4 complex formation.
HI-B1 suppresses growth of several types of colon cancer cells (DLD1, CACO2 and HCT116), but did not affect the H838 lung cancer cell line, preferentially kills cancer cells in which β-catenin is critical for survival.
