HR3744 is a selective small molecule inhibitor of S. aureus exoprotein expression regulator (SaeR) withEC50 of 4.2 uM in luciferase assays, reduces expression of hla and other virulence factors.
HR3744 interacts with the amino acid E159 of SaeR protein.
HR3744 supresses S. aureus pathogenesis by inhibiting the expression of virulence factors without any killing effect.
HR3744 demonstrates in vivo effectiveness against S. aureus infection in mice.
