Biological Activity
KDM2A inhibitor 183c is a potent inhibitor of histone lysine-specific demethylase 2A (KDM2A, FBXL11 or JHDM1A) with high activity against KDM2A (IC50=11 nM), KDM2B (IC50=13 nM) and KDM7A (IC50=9.6 nM) in vitro.
183c shows no activity against KDM5C, KDM3A and KDM6A.
183c occupies the H3K36me2 substrate pocket, with a crucial group mimicking dimethylated lysine 36.
183c selectively sensitive against several ALT-positive cell lines (SAOS2 cell IC50=3 nM).
