Biological Activity

KLF2 activator C-6 (BT-792) is a potent, specific small molecule Krüppel-like factor 2 (KLF2) activator, enhances KLF2 activity with EC50 of 50 nM, directly binds to KLF2 to enhance its transcriptional activity.

KLF2 activator C-6 (BT-792) does not bind to other related Krüppel-like factors, such as KLF4 and KLF6, indicating its specificity to KLF2

KLF2 activator C-6 (BT-792) shows potent transcriptional induction of NOS3 but without increasing KLF2 expression in HUVECs.

KLF2 activator C-6 (BT-792) increases eNOS expression in a dose-dependent manner in HUVECs by Western blot analysis.

KLF2 activator C-6 (BT-792) improved albuminuria and glomerulopathy in db/db and BTBR ob/ob mice.
