Biological Activity

MHY5535 is a potent PPARα antagonist, inhibits PPARα transcriptional activity with IC50 of 0.54 uM, effectively reduces ovarian cancer stem cells (CSCs) viability and self-renewal.
MHY5535 inhibits ovarian CSC viability (IC50=6.22 uM) and stemness through PPARα antagonism.
MHY5535 impairs mitochondrial energy metabolism and fatty acid dependency in ovarian CSCs.
MHY5535 synergizes with standard chemotherapy to eradicate ovarian CSCs.
MHY5535 and doxorubicin combination therapy suppresses tumor growth in an ovarian CSC xenograft model.
