Biological Activity

ML254 (VU0430644) is a potent, selective metabotropic glutamate receptor 5 (mGlu5) positive allosteric modulator with EC50 of 9.3 nM.
ML254 is highly selective for mGlu5 versus other mGlu receptors, as well as a panel of 68 GPCRs, ion channels and transporters.
ML254 demonstrates a robust reversal of amphetamine induced hyperlocomotion at a single dose in an in vivo model of psychosis.
