Biological Activity

MR1-114 is a potent, noncovalent SARS-CoV-2 papain-like protease (PLpro) inhibitor with enzyme IC50 of 37 nM.
MR1-114 shows activity against the highly pathogenic Delta variant with EC50 of 0.18 uM.
MR1-114 inhibits Omicron B.1.1.529 and the immune-evasive Omicron BA.5 subvariant. Against Omicron B.1.1.529 with EC50 of 0.39 uM, inhibits Omicron BA.5 variant with EC50 of 0.2 uM.
MR1-114 (150 mg/kg) significantly reduced lung viral titers in murine model of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
