OTB-658 exhibits potent activity against M. tuberculosis H37Rv in the early stage of infection.
OTB-658 has MIC value of 0.080 to 0.115 μg/ml against M. tuberculosis H37Rv.
OTB-658 is active against 10 drug-susceptible and 30 drug-resistant clinical isolates and is as potent as Linezolid and PNU-100480 (Sutezolid).
OTB-658 achieves bacteriostatic effect against M. tuberculosis at the MIC to 32× MIC (MBC).
OTB-658 (25 mg/kg) demonstrates better bacteriostatic activity in the early stage of infection in acute murine models, compared with Linezolid (50 mg/kg). OTB-658 shows no cross-resistance with Isoniazid (INH) and Rifampin (RIF).
