Biological Activity

PF-03550096 is a potent, selective orally active cannabinoid receptor 2 (CB2) agonist with Ki of 7.9 nM and 47 nM for human and rat CB2 receptors respectively.
PF-03550096 is a full agonist and showed high selectivity for human CB(2) receptors in cell-based functional assay.
Orally administered PF-03550096 (3, 10 mg/kg) inhibited the 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced decrease in colonic pain threshold with statistical significance.
