A small molecule inhibitor of PCSK9 secretion (IC50=4.8 uM) that selectively binds to human 80S ribosome, but not E. coli, ribosomes; causes transcript-dependent inhibition of PCSK9 translation, stimulates uptake of LDL-C in hepatoma cells by increasing LDL-R levels, without altering levels of secreted transferrin.
