Biological Activity
Taginostat is a potent and selective HDAC6 inhibitor with IC50 of 6.9 nM (hHDAC6), >45-fold selectivity over hHDAC1 and hHDAC8, activates the transcription factor STAT4 in CLL cells.
Taginostat (1-5 uM, 24h) promotes apoptosis of CLL cells
Taginostat enhances p66Shc expression and alters mitochondrial homeostasis in CLL cells, shows significantly higher pro-apoptotic effects in CLL cells than both the HDAC6 inhibitors ACY-738 and tubastatin A, and the pan-HDAC inhibitor vorinostat (SAHA).
Taginostat enhances p66Shc expression in CLL cells by activating its transcription factor STAT4.
Taginostat promotes apoptosis and mitochondrial dysfunction in leukemic cells by enhancing p66Shc expression.
Taginostat synergizes with Ibrutinib to enhance p66Shc-dependent apoptosis of CLL cells.
