Biological Activity
VCP746 is a selective, hybrid molecule A1 adenosine receptor (A1AR) biased agonist with Ki of 60 nM, and pEC50 of 9.05 in FlpIn-CHO cells stably expressing the A1AR.
VCP746 is biased to the cAMP pathway, 30-fold preference to cAMP relative to ERK1/2.
VCP746 protects against ischemic insult in native A1AR-expressing cardiomyoblasts and cardiomyocytes but does not affect rat atrial heart rate.
