Zapnometinib (ATR-002, PD0184264) is the active metabolite of CI-1040, a novel MEK inhibitor (IC50=30.96 nM, cell free assay) with broad antiviral activity against different influenza virus strains, as well as SARS-CoV-2.
Zapnometinib (ATR-002, PD0184264) inhibits ERK-phosphorylation in human PBMCs and intracellular deposition.
Zapnometinib (ATR-002, PD0184264) exhibited antiviral effect against H1N1pdm09 or the H3N2 strain and on MDCK II cells with EC50 of 4.190-6.356 uM.
Zapnometinib (ATR-002, PD0184264) also efficiently blocks SARS-CoV-2 propagation and alleviates pro-inflammatory cytokine/chemokine responses.
