alpha-NETA (α-NETA) is a small molecule antagonist of chemerin receptor chemokine-like receptor 1 (CMKLR1), inhibits chemerin-stimulated β-arrestin2 association with CMKLR1 with IC50 of 4.9 uM.
α-NETA also is a potent and noncompetitive choline acetyltransferase (ChA) inhibitor with IC50 of 9 uM.
α-NETA significantly suppresses experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) disease onset in vivo.
α-NETA reduces the clonogenicity and viability of neuroblastoma cell lines indicating the chemerin/CMKLR1 axis as a promoting factor in neuroblastoma tumorigenesis.
α-NETA impairs tumor growth in neuroblastoma SK-N-AS cells xenografts.
