25B-NBOMe is a highly selective 5-HT2A receptor agonist with Ki of 0.05 nM, 100-fold selective over 5-HT2C (Ki=4.6 nM).
25B-NBOMe also has moderate affinity for the serotonin transporter (SERT, Ki=840 nM) and dopamine D2 receptors (Ki=840 nM), but its affinity for dopamine D1 receptor and dopamine transporter (DAT) is low.
25B-NBOMe in repeated doses induces tolerance in neurotransmitter release.
25B-NBOMe promotes anxiety in rats, shows genotoxic potential and increase in glial cells number.
