Biological Activity

AGK2 is a cell-permeable, selective inhibitor of SIRT2 with IC50 of 3.2 uM, shows minimally affects either SIRT1 or SIRT3 at 10-fold higher levels.
AGK2 rescued alpha-synuclein toxicity and modified inclusion morphology in a cellular model of Parkinson's disease, mimicking the effect of siRNA-mediated blockade of SIRT2 expression.
