Biological Activity

AL398 is a specific small molecule inhibitor of m5C methyltransferase NSUN6 with IC50 of 2.796 uM, shows negligible effects on the stability of other methyltransferases, including NOP2, NSUN2, and METTL3.
AL398 attenuates metastatic potential of endometrial cancer cells in vitro.
Snail expression effectively counteracts AL398's inhibitory phenotype.
AL398 (8 mg/kg and 12 mg/kg) induces significant, dose-dependent suppression of tumor growth inmouse xenograft model.
AL398 inhibits endometrial cancer metastasis in vivo by targeting the NSUN6/m5C/Snail pathway.
