N42 strongly and irreversibly binds to ALDH1A1.
N42 (10-100 mg/kg) causes retinoic acid (RA) synthesis inhibition in vivo.
N42 affects retinoid storage and metabolism in a tissue-dependent manner, and protects against diet-induced obesity in vivo.
