AP20187 (AP-20187, AP 20187) is a cell-permeable, semisynthetic bivalent ligand (dimerizer) of FK506-binding protein (FKBP F36V).
AP20187 potently inhibits the differentiation of transfected myoblasts in the absence of bFGF, blocks myotube formation and myosin heavy chain expression and stimulates MAP kinase phosphorylation in transfected cells.
AP20187 dramatically suppressed LNCaP tumor growth in nude mice and led to a significantly increased host survival.
