BMS-191011 (BMS-A) is a small molecule activator of large-conductance calcium-activated potassium (KCa1.1/BK) channels, increases current to 126% over control at 1 uM.
BMS-191011 (10-100 ug/kg, i.v.) increased the diameter of retinal arterioles without altering systemic blood pressure and heart rate significantly.
BMS-191011 could completely abolished iberiotoxin-induced vasodilator effects of acetylcholine on retinal arterioles in non-diabetic rats.
