Berbamine hydrochloride is a natural bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloidshows broad exhibits anti-tumor and anti-viral activies, inhibits Ebola virus (EBOV) and prevents SARS-CoV-2 entry.
Berbamine hydrochloride is a potent, brain penetrant Galectin-3 (Gal3) inhibitor, disrupts Gal3 oligomerization and Gal3-TREM2 interaction.
Berbamine hydrochloride also inhibit Ebola virus (EBOV) by targeting viral glycoprotein, disrupts GPcl-NPC1 interaction.
Berbamine prevents SARS-CoV-2 entry and transmission.
Berbamine hydrochloride effectively improved motor functions, reduced mutant huntingtin protein aggregation, and restored crucial dopaminergic and ciliary signaling pathways in R6/2 mouse model of Huntington's disease (HD).
Berbamine promotes ferroptosis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma by facilitating USP51-mediated GPX4 ubiquitination and degradation.
