FDI-6 (FOXM1 inhibitor FDI6, NCGC00099374) is a small molecule inhibitor of FOXM1 with IC50 of 22.5 uM (FOXM1 DNA binding inhibition).
FDI-6 binds directly to FOXM1 protein, to displace FOXM1 from genomic targets in MCF-7 breast cancer cells, and induce concomitant transcriptional downregulation, inhibits growth of MCF-7 breast cancer cells with GI50 of 18.0 uM.
FDI-6 specifically downregulates FOXM1-activated genes with FOXM1.
FDI-6 also can suppress pancreatic cancer cell proliferation and induces their apoptotic cell death, sensitizes pancreatic cancer cells to Etoposide and Gemcitabine induced apoptosis.
