Biological Activity
HCY-NBD is a small molecule stabilizer of Glutathione S-transferase Mu 2 (GSTM2), promotes sulfenylation at Cys174 of GSTM2 and inhibits its K48-linked ubiquitination at this residue, stabilizes GSTM2 protein levels.
Cys174 is the critical residue for HCY-NBD-mediated regulation of GSTM2 sulfenylation and non-lysine ubiquitination.
HCY-NBD up-regulates GSTM2 inhibiting high-glucose-induced vascular endothelial cell senescence and calcification.
HCY-NBD up-regulates GSTM2 inhibiting vascular senescence and calcification in db/db mice.
