Biological Activity

HK262 is a first-in-class, specific inhibitor of protein lysine methyltransferase METTL21A with IC50 of 1.1 uM.
METTL21A is a protein lysine MTase responsible for the trimethylation of HSP70 family members.
HK262 has approximately 68-fold improvement in inhibitory activity compared to the endogenous product inhibitor SAH (IC50=74.4 uM).
HK262 is stable in both plasma and liver microsomes.
HK262 exhibits a cytotoxic effect against HepG2 (CC50=8 uM).
