Biological Activity

IMD-0354 (AER-270) is a potent IκB kinase β (IKKbeta) inhibitor, also is a potent inhibitor of glutamine uptake.

IMD-0354 ameliorated airway hyperresponsiveness and reduced the numbers of bronchial eosinophils and mucus-producing cells in OVA-sensitized mice.

IMD-0354 inhibits NF-κB activation and reduces the numbers of bronchial eosinophils.

IMD-0354 inhibitsIL-13 and IL-1β production, and it restored the production of IFN-γ.
IMD-0354 attenuatesmTOR signaling, suppressed two- and three-dimensional growth of melanoma cells, and induces cell-cycle arrest, autophagy, and apoptosis in melanoma.

IMD-0354 suppressed melanoma growth in a xenograft model.
IMD-0354 (AER-270) also is a selective, small molecule inhibitor of aquaporin-4 (AQP4) with IC50 of 0.24 uM, reduce AQP4-mediated water permeability.
