INH-12 is a selective small-molecule HSD17B12 inhibitor with 70% inhibition of HSD17B12 activity to transform estrone (E1) into estradiol (E2) at 1 uM, reduces the replication of Flaviviridae viruses (HCV, DENV and ZIKV).

INH-12 is a selective small-molecule HSD17B12 inhibitor with 70% inhibition of HSD17B12 activity to transform estrone (E1) into estradiol (E2) at 1 uM, reduces the replication of Flaviviridae viruses (HCV, DENV and ZIKV).
INH-12 shows no inhibitory activity against the C19 steroid metabolizing enzyme HSD17B3.
INH-12 dose-dependently inhibits DENV and ZIKV with mean EC50 values of 5.3 µM and 14.6 µM, respectively.
INH-12 shows potential of HSD17B12 inhibition as an antiviral target with a pan-Flaviviridae spectrum.
