IR-546 is a NIR fluorescent probe, inhibits melanoma cell proliferation by activating the mitochondrial apoptosis pathway through suppression of the AKT/GSK3β signaling pathway.
IR-546 exhibits an absorption peak at 600 nm, and an emission peak at 605 nm and 650 nm, confirming its near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence properties (600–900 nm).
IR-546 exhibits cell-killing effect on melanoma cellsin vitro and in vivo.
IR-546 shows MTT IC50 of 2.4, 0.7, and 0.2 µM for A375 melanoma cells at 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h, respectively, and for B16-F10 melanoma cells is 4.3, 1.7, and 1.0 µM, respectively.
IR-546 induces apoptosis of melanoma cells by affecting mitochondrial function.
IR-546 inhibits the metastasis of A375 and B16-F10 melanoma cells.
IR-546 inhibits the growth of melanoma without obvious side effects in vivo.
