LCS-1.34 is a small molecule that inhibits growth of human lung adenocarcinoma cells harboring mutations in EGFR or KRAS with IC50 of 0.1-1.1 uM; superoxide dismutase 1 (SOD1) are the most likely target of LCS-1, LCS-1.34 inhibits SOD1 in a dose-dependent manner with IC50 of 1.07 uM, inhibits MAPK and PI3-kinase pathways, DNA synthesis and induces apoptosis.
