MS 21570 (MS0021570) is a small molecule antagonist of GPR171, antagonizes MS0015203 (Cat#PC-47110)-mediated increases in [35S]GTPγS binding in rat hypothalamic membranes (EC50 =0.6 nM).
MS 21570 blocked BigLEN-mediated activation of GPR171 in heterologous cells.
MS 21570 inhibited BigLEN-mediated hyperpolarization of BLA pyramidal neurons.
MS 21570 inhibited feeding induced by DREADD-mediated activation of BigLEN containing AgRP neurons in the arcuate nucleus.
MS 21570 significantly attenuated BigLEN-mediated decreases in intracellular cAMP levels.
MS 21570 (5 mg/kg, i.p) decreases anxiety-like behaviors, but not depression and fear in vivo.
