Miglustat (N-Butyldeoxynojirimycin, SC-48334, NB-DNJ, OGT-918) is an inhibitor of the N-linked oligosaccharide processing enzyme Alpha-glucosidase I; inhibits glycolipid biosynthesis, has no effect on the maturation of N-linked oligosaccharides or on lysosomal glucocerebrosidase; is used primarily to treat type I Gaucher disease (GD1).
