Biological Activity

Nimbolide is a natural product derived from the Neem tree, inhibits E3 ligase activity of RNF114, blocks PARP1 degradation and causes PARP1 trapping.
Nimbolide treatment is synthetically lethal in BRCA-deficient tumor cells.
Nimbolide is also able to kill BRCA-deficient tumor cells with intrinsic and acquired resistance to conventional PARPi.
Nimbolide has significant bactericidal activity against H. pylori, killing both free living bacterial cells as well as cells within a biofilm.
Nimbolide targeting SIRT1 mitigates intervertebral disc degeneration by reprogramming cholesterol metabolism and inhibiting inflammatory signaling.
