OSMI-4 (OGT inhibitor 4b) is a novel potent, selective, cell-active O-linked N-acetylglucosamine transferase (OGT) inhibitor with EC50 of ~3 uM.
OSMI-4 reduces O-GlcNAc levels almost completely by 5 μM (O-GlcNAc (RL-2) blot of HEK293T cell lysates after treatment).
OSMI-4 is the best OGT inhibitor reported to date, and it is especially attractive for probing OGT’s complex biology.
