Biological Activity
RUN-89 is a potent, specific activator of transcription factor nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 1 (encoded by NFE2L1, NRF1) with EC50 of 3.1 uM.
RUN-89 activates the NFE2L1-specific luciferase reporter independently of the KEAP1-NFE2L2 pathway.
RUN-89 significantly elevates total LC3 protein levels in HEK293 cells, modulates proteasome activity, autophagy, and cell survival.
RUN-89 inhibits the formation of huntingtin Q74 aggregates in U2OS cells expressing EGFP-HttQ74.
RUN-89 activates the SKN-1A/NFE2L1 pathway in C. elegans, prevents protein aggregation, and enhances stress resilience in vivo.
